About me

Who am I?

Ritesh
I am Ritesh Dharampal, born in 1998 in Paramaribo. I love the nature very much and like to cook and swim. I went to the primary school at O.S. Commissaris Simonspolder school at age 10. From then I moved to O.S. Tout Lui Faut school, where I graduated as the best student in the year 2000. I went to the Shri Ram MULO school and graduated in 2004. After that I went to Mr. dr. J.C. de Miranda Lyceum, where I stopped with my study in 2008. I was in the last class and decided to go to work, because of the financial issues. I had made my exam, but failed to pass after a second chance. It became difficult for me, because I had to skip a test in order to go for an interview.

Suralco (Precipitation)
After a long period of tests I was selected to work for Suralco L.L.C. I began as an apprentice in 2008
and graduated in 2010 as Process Operator 1. In those years I learned a lot about the bayer process and also about my work. Every thursday, we had to go to school to learn the basics. I worked in the department Precipitation, and soon I worked in the control room. After one year working I was able to do my work independently, also in the control room. I worked in shifts, like 8.00-16.00/ 16.00-00.00/ 00.00-8.00. Sometimes we had to work overtime to solve the problems.

In the year 2010 I began again with my school at Avond HAVO and graduated in 2011. In 2011 I began to go to PTC, course Electrical Engineering. I got my pre-propadeuse certificate in 2012. In 2014 I stopped with school because of personal issues.

In 2013 I got married with my love. In 2014 I began with IOL, ICT in Education for my further study.
In that same year our son was born. In 2015 Suralco stopped with her production and so I stopped working there. In that same year I began my teaching career at SMO as a ICT teacher. From there also, I gave lesson at HHS Dependance in the last quarter in 2016.
IMEAO 5

In 2016 , the beginning of schoolyear, I began at IMEAO 5 as an ICT teacher.

Why do I want to become a teacher?

Why not a production worker?

I want to reach out to students, who give up their study for any reason. In my life route I had to go trough many hardship, that I even had stopped with my study. But here and there I got motivated by friends or situation. I have been a student, who had to struggle and work hard for better performance. In the students nowadays, I see myself. In order to ease their path to knowledge, I like to motivate them, to show them the pitfalls. Finally, no one must stop chasing their dream, no matter how hard or difficult it is.
